In Perth, replacing a standard laptop screen costs $350 to $450 including installation. Gaming laptops and MacBooks run $800 to $900 because their high-resolution panels cost more. The exact price depends on your screen’s size, resolution and whether it’s a touchscreen.

Screen replacement by brand

HP laptop screen repair is our most common screen job — Pavilion and Envy panels are usually in stock or a day away. Dell screens for Inspiron, Latitude and XPS models follow close behind. We also replace Lenovo screens (ThinkPad, IdeaPad, Yoga), plus Asus and Acer panels. If you have the model number from the sticker on the base, quoting takes minutes.

Cracked screen or black screen — which repair do you need?

If the glass is visibly cracked or the image is smashed into coloured lines, the panel is broken and needs replacing. But a laptop screen that’s black or blank with no damage is a different fault — often a cable, backlight or graphics problem that can be cheaper to fix than a new panel.

Is it worth replacing a laptop screen?

For most laptops under five years old, yes. A $400 screen on a laptop that would cost $1,200 to replace is easy maths. For older machines worth less than about $600, think harder — that’s when we’ll talk you through repair versus a tested refurbished laptop. We’d rather give you honest advice than sell you a screen you shouldn’t buy.

The fitting itself takes under an hour. The wait is the part: if your panel is in stock the job is same or next day, otherwise allow 2 to 3 days for the screen to arrive.

Can you replace a laptop screen while I wait?
If we have your panel in stock, often yes — call ahead with your model number and we’ll tell you.

My screen is cracked but the laptop still works. Can I keep using it?
You can, but cracks spread and can eventually damage the panel connections. Back up your files and get it replaced before it gets worse.

We fit new panels matched to your laptop’s specification — same size, resolution and finish as the original — and cover them with a 90-day warranty.
